Women in Electrical Trades
Women currently account for only 4 percent of the skilled trades industry workforce. In an era with chronic shortages of electricians, plumbers, welders and carpenters, there is a huge opportunity for women to move into these high-paying, in-demand careers.
The Technical Trades Department at Northern New Mexico College is committed to increasing the number of female students in our trades program. By providing hands-on training and supportive instructors, Northern empowers women to break barriers and succeed in careers traditionally dominated by men. Whether you're just starting out or looking to change paths, our Electrical Technology Program offers a clear, affordable route to a stable and rewarding future.
